Scott M. Smith, born August 7, 1965, is married (Beth), with four children (Alyssa, Jessica, Madelyn and Jared).

He was admitted to the bar in Illinois and U. S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1992, and the U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois in 1995.

Mr. Smith completed his undergraduate degree (B.S., with high honors) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and received his J.D law degree, magna cum laude, from the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1992.

He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and the Henry County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Smith is also a Certified Public Accountant, receiving his accreditation in Illinois in 1992, and is a member of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants and Christian Legal Society.
