Kurt J. Horberg , born February 6, 1952, is married (Deborah), with three children (John, Katelyn and Lindsey). Horberg followed his father, the late Circuit Judge Robert J. Horberg (a lifetime friend of Kenneth and Leonard Telleen), in the practice of law in Henry and the surrounding Counties. He was admitted to the bar in Illinois and U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois in 1977. Mr. Horberg completed his undergraduate degree (B.A., cum laude) through Augustana College in 1974 and received his J.D. law degree, with distinction, from John Marshall Law School in 1977, where he was a staff member of the John Marshall Law Review. Mr. Horberg also engaged in studies (Political Theory) at American University, Washington, D.C., and theology at the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, Ill. He is a member of Phi Delta Phi law fraternity and the Henry County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Christian Legal Society. He served as Public Conservator, Administrator and Guardian for Henry County from 1977 through 1978. Mr. Horberg has a General Law Practice with concentrations in agricultural, corporate, business, banking, environmental, estate planning, probate, commercial, real estate and trust administration.
